SCRAP organized a tree plantation activity that was held on August 01, 2009, at Arvind DAV Public School in Model Town, New Delhi. Considering the present degradation in the environmental condition and the subsequent rise in genetic deformities and frequent epidemics, SCRAP has come up with such noble act. Planting trees helps reduce pollution by neutralizing the carbon Di-oxide and methane content in the air. This event was conducted with great enthusiasm and was headed by Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, SRF, NPL Delhi and Mr. Hemant Kumar Singh, JRF, Nuclear Science Centre Delhi who are also the chief organizers. The principal of DAV school took up this initiative to improve the present environmental conditions by encouraging other social communities. With a target of planting more than 500 trees for plantation activity, we have also invited other schools. ITLaddu Technology Private Limited is an online media partner for this Plantation event.
